The best group trips in India right now

JoinGroupTour Editorial Updated 2026-08-25 7 min read

Ranked by traveller rating, with live prices and departure dates — not a generic list of pretty destinations.

Most "best group trips" articles are a list of destinations with stock photos and no way to actually book anything. This one is generated from live inventory: every trip below has real departure dates, a named operator and a current price. If a trip sells out, it stops appearing.

A note on how to read it. Rating alone is a weak signal — a new operator with four reviews can show 5.0. Weigh the rating against how many trips the operator has actually run, and whether the departure is guaranteed.

Choosing between them

If it's your first group trip, start short. A three-day weekend trip tells you whether you enjoy travelling this way for a fraction of the cost and commitment of an eight-day Himalayan circuit.

If you're going high — Spiti, Chopta, anything above 3,500 m — prioritise itineraries with an acclimatisation day over ones that save you a day and a few thousand rupees. Altitude sickness ruins more trips than bad weather.

If you're travelling in peak season, book a guaranteed departure. Non-guaranteed batches in shoulder months sometimes don't reach their minimum, and while you get your money back, you don't get your leave days back.

Frequently asked questions

How are these trips ranked?

By traveller rating, drawn from the live listings. We don't sell placement — operators can't pay to appear higher.

How often is this updated?

The trip list is generated from current inventory every time the page is built, so prices and availability reflect what's actually on sale.
